ALC Net Academy Listening from October 9th

Hello.

I studied ALC Net Academy, listening section from October 9th.

a... I worked on a theme "Across the Atlantic of Lindbergh."

b... In 1927, Captain Charles Lindbergh began to get himself ready for the flight in his plane, "Spiti of St. Louis." He was to fly alone, nonstop, 3600 miles across the Atlantic to Paris for the first time. The interest of this flight was enormous. Later, at last, he reported that he could see the lights of Paris. A number of Parisian people warmly welcomed Lindbergh.

c... I think that Lindbergh has emotional strength and strong patient power for the first reading. The reason for this is that he put up with staying at monoplane alone for a long long time. The gap between the spiritual elevation of the people in Paris and Lindbergh's problems, difficulties and troubles during his flight must have been fierce. That's why I think that he is very strong mental power.

d... I didn't know the following five words.

aviation : the science or practice of flying in aircraft/the industry that aircraft

epic : a book, poem, or film that tells a long story about brave action and exciting events

reverlry : wild noisy dancing, eating, drinking and so on. usually to celebrate something

privation : formal a lack or loss of the things that everyone needs, such as food, warmth, and shelter

turn out : to gather, come together, crowd together
